As part of strengthening our strategic areas of competence the management board has created two new directorates.
Mexiko has become the most important automotive production location in North America GM has invested about three billion dollars in Mexiko since 2007 and owns now three plants there, while Ford and Chryler each own two. The German carmakers, above all the Volkswagen Group, are strongly represented in Mexiko and bringing in auto-parts manufacturers (if not already there).
BHTC, Behr-HellaThermocontrol GmbH, joint venture of Behr GmbH & Co. KG and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co will set up a new factory near Querétaro with planning support by Scherr+Klimke.
Start of construction for the technical complex building (manufacturing of car climate control systems) is scheduled to begin in early March 2015 and to begin production in 2016.
