The countries of Northern Africa, due to their geographical proximity to Europe, have been important partners of the german industry for many years. However, the remarkable economic growth achieved in the past years created only a few new jobs in the region. Unemployment especially among young people, is a big problem. Many states are looking therefore for possibilities to establish their own production facilities in order to reduce the export quota and create new jobs.
