Some of our industrial clients have discussed with us the value added of sustainable Construction (Green Building) as well as the economies of such buildings. The Client Dialogue took place on 29.07.2010 in our new rooms at "Mensch+Technik Haus".
Scherr+Klimke architects engineers are the general planner of the new research and development building. Architecture, structural design, MEP- and HVAC-engineering of the building as well as the construction management is completely provided by the team of Scherr+Klimke.
On May 19th, 2010 the cornerstone was layed for the state-of-the-art woodgas power plant in Germany that will generate electricity and heat energy starting end of 2011. With its novel technology, the use of renewable resources and the high efficiency of 80 percent it is a prime example for modern decentralized, environmentally friendly energy production. The waste heat is fed into Senden disctrict heating network. Every year, 34 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity and 40 million kWh of heat energy will be produced.
Scherr+Klimke is responsible for the structural engineering of this project. Client and beneficiary is the local utility company: SWU Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm GmbH.
